On December 6, the Owls Head Transportation Museum will host its annual family holiday concert featuring the Midcoast Community Band. As part of the festivities, childrenof any ageare encouraged to bring their letters to Santa and see exactly how their letters are delivered to the North Pole.
The fun starts at noon on Sunday as children will create their own holiday ornaments, some made from candy. At 1:00, everyone will step outside to watch Santas arrival from the North Pole in one of the Museums planes. Upon landing, he will meet with children in the Museums auditorium and read Reindeer Christmas.
Then, with help from one of Santas helpers (Museum pilot Karl Erick

son), children will see with their own eyes how their letters actually reach Santa at the North Pole. All letters will be placed in a special Polar Air Mail Express bag, then literally scooped up by plane to be delivered directly to the North Pole. This demonstration will take place outside on Runway 17, weather permitting.
Once the letters are safely on their way, Santa will lead the children back inside and introduce the Mid-Coast Community Band as they hold their annual holiday concert from 2:00 to 3:30. Following the concert, the Museum will host the
